KEYNOTE

Dr. Catherine Muyeba

Dr Muyeba is a Regional Lead Consultant Psychiatrist in the UK with over 20 years of clinical and research experience. She trains, coaches and appraises doctors at different stages of their careers. Clinically, she works with adults, children and families affected by substance misuse with or without mental illness. In her private practice, she undertakes comprehensive diagnostic assessments and manages adults with ADHD.

A passionate advocate for mental health and addictions, Dr Muyeba volunteers, mentors, educates and raises awareness with a view to reducing stigma and improving help-seeking, especially among the African community. As a Certified Lifestyle Physician recognised by the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine, she focuses on empowering people and inspiring them to embrace vibrant and fulfilling lives. She founded REAPing Women and REAPing People Foundation to enrich lives and impact our world.

Married for over 30 years, she is a mother of two adult children, and is actively involved in pastoral care at her local church.

Dr. Njinga Kankinza

BIO

Dr. Njinga Kankinza (Bsocsci, Hon, MA, DClinpsych,) is a UK licensed Clinical Psychologist in possession of a bachelors and honours in Psychology from the University of Pretoria in South Africa and a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University College of London (UCL). She is passionate about mental health and wellbeing. She has provided mental health services to individuals and groups presenting with various mental health challenges at a local and international level.

Currently she works as a stress Counsellor for the United Nations Staff in Kabul- Afghanistan. Prior to joining this team, she was dedicated to supporting London’s Whittington Health NHS Trust’s staff in response to the COVID -19 pandemic. The other roles she has held include a researcher and lecturer- teaching psychology to undergraduate medical and nursing students.

Aside from work she enjoys cooking, spending time with family, travelling and taking photos.

HARM REDUCTION BASICS

Scott Robertson 

BIO

Scott Roberson has over 15 years of community organisation and program development experience in international HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care and support in Zambia. Additionally, he has extensive expertise in Canada and now Africa in providing counselling services related to HIV and AIDS, Substance Misuse, Sexuality, Sexual Minorities, Mental Health, Grief, loss Child protection… and more recently Corporate Health and Wellness. For the past twenty five plus years, Scott has focused great effort on Global Drug Policy Reform and the adoption of harm/risk reduction approaches versus ‘’war on drugs’’ thinking and behaviour.

He has a master’s degree in social work (Individual, Family and group counselling) and a bachelors of Arts Degree (Psychology, Criminology and Fine Arts) from the University in Toronto.

TRAUMA-INFORMED WORKPLACES: The Impact of Trauma on Holistic Organizational Wellness

Suwilo Namfukwe

BIO

Suwilo Namfukwe, is a Clinical Psychologist and Workplace Wellness Specialist licensed in Zambia and the United States. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology & Criminal Justice as well as a masters in Clinical Mental Health Counselling.  She has over a decade of experience in providing mental health services and holistic wellness program development and management support to organizations and individuals.

Suwilo is also experienced and licensed in the use of psychometric instruments and has been passionate about ensuring cultural relevance in the use of psychometric tools, advocating for the use of culturally appropriate instruments in the Zambian context for organizational and personal development.

Suwilo is passionate about helping individuals and institutions achieve wellness holistically by addressing core issues that affect individual and organizational wellbeing. Suwilo is also experienced and licensed in the use of psychometric instruments and has been passionate about ensuring cultural relevance in the use of psychometric tools, advocating for the use of culturally appropriate instruments in the Zambian context for organizational and personal development.

BODY STRESS RELEASE

Inonge Liboma Sunkutu 

BIO

Inonge Liboma Sunkutu is a Psychologist and Body Stress Release Practitioner. She works for Time + Tide Foundation, a non-profit organisation and her role is to manage a programme for children who are differently abled. With her unique skill set of Psychology and Body Stress Release, she has helped a lot of children on the programme.

She has been practicing BSR for five years.  Body stress release and psychology have shown her how wonderful the body is and she believes in its self-healing power, which can only happen when it is well cared for.

MASTER OF CEREMONY

Kapalu Mutenda

Master of Ceremony

Kapalu Mutenda runs a content management company that works with a variety of companies and associations on a range of consumer education and marketing campaigns. A seasoned public speaker, Kapalu also works as a public speaking and presentation coach. He has directed programs for a range of corporate and private events. An advocate of mental health awareness, Kapalu has served as master of ceremony for the Mental Health Conference on three previous occasions. A role in which he had previously excelled.
